- At the margin mark a dot for your first word in your first paragraph.
- Set your TOPIC I notes on your desk.
- Read your first note.
- Think how to write it in a sentence with your own words.
- Begin your paragraph at your dot next to the margin.
- After you have written all your TOPIC I notes in a paragraph, skip a line to start a new paragraph.
- Mark a dot next to the margin.
- Use your words to tell your readers each idea on your note cards for TOPIC II.
- Skip a line each time you begin another TOPIC.
- Write your ideas in sentences that your readers will understand.
- Remember: When you write, include your REASONS, your LIKENESSES and DIFFERENCES, and your SUBJECT SYNONYMS.
