- You are now ready to sort your notes into groups.
- To do this: Hold your whole stack of notes in one hand.
- With your free hand, put your first note on your desk.
- Hold your second note next to your first note.
- Read both notes, and ask, “Related or unrelated?”
- If the two notes are unrelated, set your second note next to your first note.
- If the two notes are related, print the TOPIC on one TOPIC line, and print the TOPIC's initial on the other TOPIC line.
- Slip the note with the TOPIC's initial under the note with the TOPIC's name.
- Hold your 3rd note next to notes on your desk. Ask, “Related or unrelated?”
- When notes are related, print their related TOPIC on one TOPIC line, and print their TOPIC's initial on the other TOPIC line. (Continue on the next page.)
