11. Some notes will confuse you.
12. Put them in a stack by themselves.
13. You can decide about them later.
14. Continue stacking and labeling your notes.
15. When 2 notes go together, print their TOPIC on one note, and print the TOPIC'S INITIAL on the other card.
16. Before you add a note to a stack, print the TOPIC'S initial on the new note and slip it under the TOPIC card.
17. After you have read and stacked all notes, pick up the notes that confused you.
18. Hold your first confusing note next to each TOPIC and ask, “Related or unrelated?”
19. Maybe it will now fit into a TOPIC stack.
20. If a note is not related to your TOPICS, you may either begin a new stack with it, or... later... you may choose to discard this note and not use it in your paper.
21. You might use topics from my Form 1, TOPIC WEB, but not necessarily.
