- We think of LIKE/UNLIKE COMPARISONS to our notes.
- Again we read and question each note.
- This time we ask, “Like or unlike what?”
- We think of what we know about other subjects, and we compare them to the subject we are researching.
- Often, we will think of no comparison, so we simply question the next notes.
- But when we do think of a comparison, we mark a large X after the LIKE/UNLIKE question.
- Again we stack all the cards that have a large X.
- Stacking X's will help when we review and choose the likenesses/differences to include in our papers.
- Our likenesses/differences: • must make sense • must be true • must not be silly.
