Number Notes Sensibly - Example

I laid my three stacks in top-to-bottom order on my desk.

• Then I wrote each TOPIC on my Topic Outline, FORM 4.
• I read my six Topic 1 notes.
• I arranged them to make sense to my readers, and I numbered them in the circles.
• Then, on my Topic Outline, I wrote 1-6 in my TOPIC I bubble, and I wrote 7 in my TOPIC II bubble.
• I turned my first note stack over, and I laid it faced down on my desk.
• Next, I spread out my TOPIC II notes.
• I read them, I arranged them, and I continued numbering them.
• In my outline TOPIC II bubble I wrote 7-12, and in my TOPIC III bubble I wrote 13.
• I turned my second stack faced down, and I criss-crossed it on my first stack.
• I numbered my TOPIC III notes and wrote note numbers 13-20 on my Topic Outline.
• I turned over my TOPIC III notes and criss-crossed them on my first and second stacks.
