Now we think of LIKE/UNLIKE COMPARISONS.
- Reading one note at a time, we add, “Like or unlike what?”
- This time we think of other subjects that are like or different than our subject.
- Often we will think of no comparison, so we simply go on to question our next note.
- But when we can think of a likeness or a difference, we mark a large X after the LIKE/UNLIKE question on the card.
- Again, we stack all the cards with a large X.
- Soon our stacked X's will help us choose some likenesses/differences for our papers.
Our LIKENESSES/DIFFERENCES: • must make sense • must be true • must not be silly.
