We think of REASONS for ideas in our notes.
- This step will help us understand our notes.
- We read one note and ask, “FOR WHAT REASON?”
- When we can think of a reason, we mark a large X after REASON.
- Often we can think of no reason, so we just go on and read the next note.
- After marking a large X on a note card, we set that note aside.
- After reading all notes, the cards marked with a large X will all be in one stack.
- Next, we will choose a few REASONS and write them on our cards.
Our REASONS: • must make sense • must be true • must not be silly.
